Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs

Budget: ₹60,000 crore.
Aim:

Upgrade 1,000 ITIs across India in a hub-and-spoke model (200 hubs + 800 spokes).

Provide cutting-edge infrastructure, digital learning, and industry-integrated training.

Align skilling with future technologies like AI, robotics, semiconductors, EVs, and renewable energy.
Key Features:

Hubs: Advanced labs, innovation and incubation centres, trainer development institutes, and placement cells.

Spokes: Local ITIs connected to hubs, ensuring wider outreach to small towns and villages.

Industry Partnership: Anchor partners from industries will manage clusters, ensuring employability and real-time curriculum updates.

Integration with Schools: Launch of 1,200 Vocational Skill Labs in Navodaya & Eklavya schools, plus training of 1,200 vocational teachers to build early exposure.
